The Laughing Policeman

The Laughing Policeman was recorded in two takes at the famous Abbey Road Studios with a live band and Beatles producer George Martin.

It was released in aid of Tommy’s appeal (the whole process featured on Challenge Anneka) and is one of Timmy’s favourite songs.

Strangely enough it was at the Abbey Road studios that Sir Paul McCartney once asked for Timmy’s autograph!

“Back to the Rhythm" was recorded with the Music Box DJs. Can you name any of them?

Gulf Aid - As Time Stood Still

During the first Gulf War in 1991 the Sun promoted a record called As Time Stood Still in aid of the troops.

The band was called Gulf Aid and featured names such as Frank Bruno, Gerry Marsden, Sonia, and Hazel Dean as well as Timmy.
