Cardinal Richelieu and the three musketeers

That’s all most know about the Cardinal. Except he was also a town planner!
He also knew how to get other people to pay for it.

He got the nobles of Louis XIV to buy a house each in the town he designed and Richelieu is the result. It took barely 10 years took complete and was so successful every town in America in based on the same grid system.  Clever chap our Cardinal…. But he couldn’t catch the musketeers could he??!
